Job Title: Field Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission AV systems at client sites to ensure optimal performance according to scope and design intent.
  • Draw redlines, coordinate network setup, and communicate with project teams.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Configure AV networks and coordinate client network setup.
  • Create and modify DSP files for AEC optimization and control object coordination.
  • Contribute to lessons learned feedback to improve system designs, product selection, and implementation.
  • Archive configuration and programming files for efficient service team operations.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in Audio-Visual installation and commissioning.
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with MTR and Zoom Rooms.
  • AVIXA CTS certification preferred.
  • Extron AV Associate certification preferred.
  • Audinate Dante Level 1 certification preferred.
  • DSP certification from Biamp, QSC, or BSS.
  • Control certification from QSC, Extron, or Crestron.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Self-motivated with minimal direct oversight.
  • AVIXA CTS-I certification.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Field installation and/or system design experience.
  • Knowledge of broadcast or hybrid conference-live event systems.
  • Able to commission and troubleshoot using virtual connections with onsite support.
  • Audinate Dante Level 2 certification.
  • Biamp Tesira Server certification.
  • Q-Sys Level 2 and Control 201 certification.
  • Extron Certified Control Professional certification.
  • Shure Integrated Systems Level 1 certification.
Physical Requirements:

Associate will spend most of the day on their feet, moving around the jobsite. Must be able to occasionally lift at least 40lbs and climb ladders and stairs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision. Must be able to hear.

Travel:

Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% of the job, but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times. 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.
