The University Director of Career Development is responsible for leading the strategic direction of Career Development at Fairleigh Dickinson University's campuses in New Jersey and British Columbia, Canada.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a team of employees, graduate students, and student workers across all campuses.
  • Develop and manage the budget for career-related activities and programs.
  • Administer University Career Development platforms, such as Handshake.
  • Collaborate with University webmaster to maintain and update the Career Development website.

**Requirements:**

  • Master's degree in higher education or a related field.
  • At least five years of managerial experience in university career services or a related field.
  • Current knowledge of state-of-the-art programs and approaches in career development.
  • Excellent human relations and oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and career-specific technologies.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in collaborating with deans, department chairs, senior corporate executives, recruiters, students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to successfully bring employers to campus.

**Employment Requirements:**

  • Valid driver's license and access to transportation for travel between campuses and to visit employers and recent alumni.
  • Valid passport for occasional travel to the international campus in Vancouver, Canada.
