Nuclear Liaison Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Liaison Engineer to provide hands-on support for the construction and final assembly of the Reactor Plant and supporting systems. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and relational skills to interface with technical and non-technical personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site support for construction/fabrication issues that arise during submarine construction.
- Mentor and train level 1 and 2 engineers as well as lead teams of personnel with varying backgrounds and experience levels.
- Problem solving of shop fabrication / deck plate installation problems.
- Maintain and approve work instructions such as procedures and troubleshooting paperwork.
- Review, interpret and maintain construction drawings for Reactor Plant systems and components (fabrication, assembly, and installation).
- Collaborating with peer engineers, construction management and craftsmen on a daily basis.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem Solving.

- Technical Writing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs and various NNS shipbuilding programs (i.e. DDMS, SAP, i2, etc.).
- A comprehensive understanding of the reactor plant construction process, shipcheck experience, and project management experience.
