About the Role

This position is part of the A1B Propulsion Plant Planning Yard (PPPY) Reactor Department Liaison (RDL) group, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of naval nuclear plant principles, including operation, maintenance, and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to assist stakeholders in maintenance, operation, and modifications for Ford Class Propulsion Plants.
  • Facilitate engineering support for first-time quality, non-routine, difficult, or high man-hour maintenance evolutions.
  • Promote knowledge transfer from ship-to-ship, identify workload drivers, and assist in Ship's Force design change recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 9 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master's Degree with 7 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A1B propulsion plant senior watch standing qualification experience.
  • Navy senior leadership experience E7 or above, with demonstrated experience in supervision, operation, and maintenance of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Systems.
