Position Overview:


A Technical Specialist at GTECH Corporation will collaborate closely with the ATS Technical Services team to design and enhance aftertreatment systems for gasoline and hybrid vehicles, ensuring adherence to global emission standards.

This position offers a mix of onsite and remote working opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop aftertreatment systems to achieve program performance objectives and durability standards.
  • Create engineering specifications, perform component Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) & Design Verification Plan (DVP), and oversee system trade-offs.
  • Facilitate supplier discussions to improve manufacturing processes for enhanced functionality, cost efficiency, weight reduction, and quality assurance.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing facilities, including substrate, washcoat, and canning processes.
  • Work in conjunction with various teams to deliver program-specific designs within established timelines and budgetary limits.
  • Keep abreast of emerging aftertreatment technologies to meet future emissions regulations.

Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly and solve problems effectively
  • Proficient in managing tasks efficiently

Experience Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in emissions development, with knowledge of calibration, controls, or exhaust systems.

Preferred Experience:
  • An additional 2+ years in Product Development, with a proven track record of successful program delivery from concept through to production.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and resolving intricate system challenges related to engines and emissions.

Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
