Job Title: Design and Release Engineer

Position Description:
  • Design and release powertrain components for future performance vehicles.
  • Responsibilities include designing and releasing various powertrain components, including air induction systems, secondary air pumps/brackets, front axle, rear axle, front half shaft, integrated wheel end disconnects, front driveshaft, rear driveshaft, and other powertrain components.
  • The design and release engineer will be responsible for triage engineering, which involves resolving issues with carryover components that require design and release ownership.
  • The engineer will be the single point of contact for all aspects of part design and systems engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience using systems such as FMA, FEDEDVP, FEDEBOM, SWT, AIMS, WERS, and other relevant tools and processes is required.
  • Provide in-person support for testing, prototype builds, and launch builds of upcoming performance vehicles at assembly plants and test facilities.
  • Interface and lead discussions daily with other design and release/systems engineers, attribute teams, suppliers, and management to ensure parts comply with required specifications and critical decisions are made efficiently.
  • Must have 3+ years' experience delivering powertrain systems engineering and other powertrain components that meet program targets for quality, function, cost, weight, and timing.
Skills Preferred:
  • Experience with program management tool Microsoft Project to develop Gantt charts for program timeline, DV-PV, milestones, and deliverables is desired.
Experience Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in powertrain component design and release is required.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills are required.
  • 3+ years of experience with powertrain systems engineering, including function, validation, problem solving, etc. is required.
  • Must have experience/competency in PD systems and processes: WERS, FEDEBOM, FEDEDVP, GPDS, AIMS, Teamcenter, CATIA, etc.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
