Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at One Tech Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting large solar plants in the Southern Colorado region.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in the field extensively, collaborating with the project team to enforce specifications with the EPC contractor and address compliance issues.
  • Work with our lead civil engineer on the project to understand and interpret design drawings and manage the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and manage RFI requests.
  • Provide information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings.
  • Responsible for understanding and managing the scope of the contract.
  • Responsible for the design, modeling, development, and testing of a machine, structure, or system.
  • Develops functional requirements.
  • Understands and applies standard engineering principles.
  • Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure, or system operates.
  • Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final products.
  • Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.
  • Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
  • Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or strong/commensurate experience.
  • Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
  • Experience with ProjectWise and Bluebeam software is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
