Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Primary Care Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality and patient care services, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and procedures, and providing direct and indirect patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Quality Assurance: Provide clinical leadership for medical programs and services, collaborate with the CMO and clinic team to ensure required primary care services are accessible to patients, and oversee the quality assurance and risk management program.
  • Patient Care and Leadership: Provide direct and indirect patient care, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff, and ensure quality clinical care is provided and maintained.
  • Quality Improvement and Utilization Review: Oversee the Primary Care Clinic's QI programs, ensure and deploy CQI standards, participate in continuous quality improvement activities, and supervise the quality assurance/risk management program.
  • Medical Records and Productivity: Oversee the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of documented medical records, tracking of referral, recall of patients, and assessment of clinical outcomes, and track provider productivity.
  • Guidance and Budgeting: Provide guidance with budget development, cost containment, and productivity efforts, including participation in the planning and budgeting process.
  • Community Programs and Events: Lead chronic disease collaborative(s) and/or other re-engineering and clinical quality improvement efforts, participate in Davis Street's health fairs and other special events, and work with the clinic leadership to ensure timely updates to the clinic's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine, Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine, and Current DEA license.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in the healthcare setting, FQHC experience a plus, and proficiency using MS Office and EMR software.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Detail-oriented, effective organizational skills, and meets timelines.
