Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager / Mixologist to lead the bar program at our distinguished restaurant in Southampton, NY. This individual will oversee all aspects of the bar, from crafting signature cocktails to ensuring efficient service and maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive bar program, including creating innovative cocktails and curating a diverse drink menu that aligns with our concept and guest preferences.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate bar staff to uphold service standards, maintain professionalism, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage with guests, recommend cocktails, and provide a personalized experience while maintaining a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
  • Inventory Management: Manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels. Track and report waste, usage, and costs to ensure cost control and profitability.
  • Quality Control: Ensure every drink served meets high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the bar operates in accordance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Adhere to liquor laws, including checking IDs and maintaining alcohol control procedures.
  • Operational Oversight: Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction. Oversee bar opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Event and Private Parties: Plan and execute bar service for private events and special occasions, including signature cocktail creation and event coordination.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a bartender or mixologist, with at least 1 year in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Expertise in cocktail creation, drink trends, and spirits knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards related to bar operations.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
