Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Revvity, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and analysis to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease in newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and organize tests to be performed.
  • Prepare and properly label reagents required for laboratory testing.
  • Conduct analysis of dried blood spots or body fluid to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
  • Review test results, maintain legible work records, and enter findings into the laboratory information systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure.
  • Verify proper instrument function by checking and calibrating lab instruments and document data.
  • Record on instrument log any repairs, replacement, and maintenance performed on laboratory instruments.
  • Abide by laboratory safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a life or physical science such as chemistry, biology, or medical technology.
  • 0-1 year clinical laboratory experience.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a clinical and research lab environment, with exposure to blood-borne pathogens. They must wear protective lab gear, including a lab coat, gloves, and completely closed footwear.

Employee may be requested to work other shifts, other than daylight, depending on the needs of the laboratory. Weekend rotation may be required.

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to sit, use a keyboard, type, and occasionally stand and move to other parts of the lab. They must have manual dexterity to use lab equipment and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
