Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Revvity, Inc. As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and analysis to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease in newborns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare specimens for analysis and organize tests to be performed.
- Prepare and properly label reagents required for laboratory testing.
- Conduct analysis of dried blood spots or body fluid to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
- Review test results, maintain legible work records, and enter findings into the laboratory information systems.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure.
- Verify proper instrument function by checking and calibrating lab instruments and documents data.
- Record on instrument log any repairs, replacement, and maintenance performed on laboratory instruments.
- Abide by laboratory safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a life or physical science such as chemistry, biology, or medical technology.
- 0-1 year clinical laboratory experience.
- Schedule is dayshift Tuesday to Saturday.
- Clinical and research lab environment; must wear protective lab gear including lab coat, gloves, and completely closed footwear.
- Employee may be requested to work other shifts other than daylight depending on the needs of the laboratory.
- Weekend rotation may be required.
- Travel is not required.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use a keyboard, type, and occasionally stand and move to other parts of the lab.
Must have manual dexterity to use lab equipment.
