Job Summary

The A&P Instructor is responsible for delivering structured training sessions on aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair according to FAA and manufacturer specifications. This role involves guiding and mentoring A&P apprentices and technicians, providing support and feedback to enhance their skills and understanding.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training content on aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair.
  • Guide and mentor A&P apprentices and technicians, providing feedback and support to enhance their skills.
  • Evaluate technician and apprentice performance through practical assessments and written tests.
  • Assist in developing and updating training materials and curricula to reflect industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Instruct technicians and apprentices on the use of the Corridor computer system for documenting maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • Experience:
  • Minimum three years' experience working with general aviation airframes supported by Western Aircraft required.
  • Strong instructional skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly required.
  • Prefer previous aircraft maintenance instruction experience.
  • Prefer one year Corridor computer system experience.
  • Prefer Gulfstream / Falcon / Embraer / Citation / Pilatus / Piper / King Air experience.
  • Education:
  • Airframe & Powerplant certifications required.
  • Teaching or instructional certifications are a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level.
  • Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 25 pounds overhead.
