Position Overview:

We are in search of a Visual Communications Specialist to enhance our creative team. This role presents a thrilling opportunity to engage in a vibrant and fast-paced setting, contributing significantly to the advancement and success of our organization. The position allows for remote work flexibility, with occasional in-office attendance required for collaborative meetings, events, and training sessions.

The Visual Communications Specialist will collaborate with fellow designers to develop and execute graphic design and creative service projects within the Marketing Department. A strong understanding of design principles and proficiency in computer applications is essential to assist the team in producing high-quality marketing materials. This role reports directly to the Senior Creative Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, produce, and modify comprehensive marketing materials, including advertisements, invitations, client notifications, newsletters, announcements, brochures, and additional collateral, along with business development resources.
  • Create and manage web-based materials, including HTML templates.
  • Design electronic communications in Word and convert them into HTML-based emails.
  • Identify and implement optimal processes for the design and distribution of communications via web-based software; test and troubleshoot design and distribution for various email and web browser platforms.
  • Provide design support for the firm's website and video content, collaborating closely with the Digital Communications Manager.
  • Consistently apply and uphold style and branding guidelines.
  • Engage with vendors and maintain productive relationships, including with external design firms.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of design experience, or equivalent, preferably within a professional services or design firm.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), along with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Web knowledge, including HTML, troubleshooting capabilities, and experience with various email and web browsers, as well as CSS.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC systems.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, showcasing multitasking abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Capacity to work efficiently with a low production error rate.
  • Familiarity with commercial printing processes and preparing documents for print, digital, and electronic formats.
  • Ability to take direction while also independently managing and organizing marketing projects as needed.
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate urgent deadlines.
Minimum Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
