Job Summary:

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist Leader to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to technologists in assigned modality, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient MR Imaging:
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for MRI imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
    • Perform routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support and ensuring accurate results.
    • Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing SAR reduction techniques as appropriate.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Team Supervision:
    • Assist in the hiring process for new associates.
    • Coordinate the training and onboarding of new associates.
    • Lead regular team meetings and associates one-on-ones.
    • Monitor and approve timecards.
    • Initiate and participate in performance reviews, development, and performance management of associates.
    • Develop associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage.
    • Evaluate workflow and implement process improvements for the team.
    • Ensure team knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place.
    • Support associates in achieving the highest level of patient satisfaction.
    • Lead special projects and/or committees, as assigned.
    • Manage other departments in the absence of manager or peers, coordinating schedules for adequate coverage.

Requirements:

  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday-Friday schedule at our East Boynton, FL center, with evening, weekend availability required.
  • Support the department with coverage due to callouts, PTO requests, and other related staffing shortages and safety concerns.
  • Ability to work shifts starting as early as 5am and ending as late as 12am, including weekends.
