The Clinical Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for conducting sleep study examinations with professionalism and precision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying electrodes at specified locations on the patient's head and performing impedance tests to ensure optimal performance.
  • Calibrating and adjusting sleep study equipment before and after each examination.
  • Selecting appropriate electrode combinations based on the specific case requirements.
  • Identifying and rectifying tracing issues as they arise.
  • Conducting scoring for sleep studies, including respiratory and EMG evaluations.
  • Collecting pertinent information from patient records and conducting follow-up inquiries as necessary.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace after each examination.
  • Keeping accurate records and managing daily filing tasks.
  • Submitting charge slips for billing as required.
  • Communicating effectively with the Sleep Lab Director and Medical Director regarding any operational concerns.
  • Performing follow-up calls to patients as needed.
