Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote independence and self-advocacy in daily living skills.
  2. Provide direct support and supervision to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address client needs, and to develop and implement strategies to promote client growth and development.
  4. Administer medications as prescribed, and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
  5. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavioral support, crisis intervention, and health and safety.
  6. Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to the values and mission of Community Residences.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in the field of human services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues, and to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed, and to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
