We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Southwire Company, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze data to identify opportunities for proactive improvements and drive action plans to completion.
- Provide leadership and guidance on the implementation and sustainability of our compliance programs and EHS management processes.
- Lead the efforts to create and deploy processes that identify, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace.
- Lead EHS investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions as needed.
- Manage regulatory recordkeeping, reporting, and case management activities.
- Provide and track training for all affected team members on health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the defined value stream.
- Lead efforts in managing all mandatory air, water, and waste compliance assurance activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other applicable field.
- 9 years of experience working in industrial health, safety, and environmental activities.
- Working knowledge of various safety regulations or standards.
- Professional certification is desired.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts.
- Excellent verbal and written skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
