We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in the 36 bed medical trauma unit. In this role, you will provide patient-centered direct nursing care, including telemetry monitoring, to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic care of patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions.
  • Assess acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the facility.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions utilizing our computerized documentation systems.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
  • 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
