Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Building Principal

Objective:
The Bilingual Spanish Educator is responsible for delivering specialized instruction aimed at enhancing students' capabilities in the Spanish language and supporting their English language development.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute the duties outlined in the district's classroom teacher job description as relevant.
  2. Design and implement lesson plans that utilize diverse and effective teaching strategies to enhance students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills across content areas, ensuring they meet or exceed educational goals.
  3. Conduct academic and language assessments to evaluate student progress towards academic objectives and language proficiency, maintaining accurate records of student achievements.
  4. Create a nurturing and encouraging educational environment that fosters student accountability, motivation, and clear communication of classroom expectations while integrating challenging instructional methods.
  5. Participate in professional development meetings, contribute to building or district committees, and attend staff meetings as required by school policies.
  6. Understand and adhere to the regulations and policies governing the education of bilingual students.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board of Education, superintendent, or principal, as stipulated by educational guidelines.
