Position Title: Back-End Java Application Developer

Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 5+ Months (high possibility of extension)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive product initiatives, shaping the direction of software development.
  • Take ownership of projects, working collaboratively with technical and business leaders to create innovative yet practical solutions for complex challenges.
  • Establish technical strategy, vision, and roadmaps for the development team.
  • Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and execute rollouts for intricate fee computation and charging systems.
  • Innovate to tackle complex technical challenges related to scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate effectively, influencing peers and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead the development of products independently from conception through design, development, and deployment.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software design and development, with a strong foundation in computer science, including expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Proficient in object-oriented design methodology and large-scale application development, particularly in Java or similar object-oriented languages.
  • In-depth understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
  • Desirable skills include familiarity with large-scale data analysis and the capability to build machine learning models for forecasting and prediction.
  • Strong relational database and SQL development skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
