Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at FlexStaff Careers.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer general nursing care to ambulatory patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in planning and coordinating patient care, working collaboratively with the Primary Nurse and Nursing Care Coordinator.
  • Follow the direction and guidance of the Primary Nurse in implementing the nursing process, ensuring accurate and timely care.
  • Report and record results of nursing care, making all significant information known immediately to the Primary Nurse and/or Nursing Care Coordinator.
  • Perform treatments and procedures as assigned by a Registered Nurse, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Establish good interpersonal relations with patients, families, and hospital personnel, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Must have knowledge of usual dosages, side effects, and reactions to medications patients are receiving, and be able to administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications, except for experimental drugs.
  • May administer narcotics orally or intramuscularly, except on pediatrics, newborn nursery, and premature nursery.
  • Perform related duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Additional Salary Detail: The salary range for this position is $30-$55/hour. Please note that this is a good faith determination of potential base compensation and may be modified in the future.
