We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emotional Support Specialist to join our team at Washington County Mental Health Services.

Job Summary:

The Emotional Support Specialist will provide emotional and social support to guests of the Access Hub Program, utilizing their lived experience to create a meaningful connection. This role involves collaborating with internal programs and external agencies to coordinate services, participating in morning rounds, and providing phone supports with programmatic information and supportive counseling.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome Access Hub guests upon arrival and assess their immediate needs.
  • Provide referrals to resources, including case management, therapy, nursing supports, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Document guest interactions and progress in a professional and confidential manner.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with a safe and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing during client interactions and administrative tasks.
  • Effective verbal communication, including clear conveyance of information in-person and over the phone.
  • Basic manual dexterity to handle documentation and computer-related tasks.
