Job Overview

EXXCEL Project Management is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our preconstruction efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing preconstruction estimating methodologies, value engineering solutions, and strategic planning to drive business growth, project profitability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership for all pre-design and preconstruction activities, including conceptual estimating, budgeting, bidding, value engineering, and preconstruction planning.
  • Develop and execute preconstruction strategies, processes, and procedures to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive proposals that meet client needs and objectives.
  • Direct estimating team in preparing comprehensive project estimates, budgets, and analysis of project scope, specifications, drawings, and market conditions.
  • Review and analyze bid documents and vendor quotes to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering opportunities, mitigate risks, and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders to identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions that optimize project value, quality, performance, and ROI while minimizing costs and schedule impact.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations.
  • Develop and mentor preconstruction team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to empower team members, drive performance, and achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement improvements in the preconstruction process, documenting the process, mapping details, and providing training to EXXCEL team members.
