Recreation Program Manager

The primary objective of this role is to strategize, organize, develop, and oversee the comprehensive operation of the Recreation Department, ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures. - Plan, develop, organize, implement, assess, and direct the activity programs within the facility.
- Engage in community planning that reflects the interests of the facility and addresses the services and needs of residents and their families.
- Fulfill administrative tasks, including completing necessary documentation and reports, and submitting them to the administrator as required.
- Conduct daily rounds to ensure that activity programs are effectively communicated to residents.
- Create and sustain an environment of warmth, personal interest, and positive engagement, while maintaining a calm atmosphere throughout the facility.
- Ensure that essential activity supplies are available for scheduled events.
- Assist in arranging appointments for residents as needed, which may include driving them to and from appointments using facility vehicles.
- Participate in community service initiatives, inter-generational programs, and volunteer opportunities that promote human connection and purpose.
- Advocate for and influence positive changes within the facility, while also mentoring new residents as they integrate into our community.
- Incorporate activities that foster friendships among residents and provide various entertainment options that encourage enjoyment, camaraderie, and wellness.
- Focus on personal fitness, health, beauty, and vitality.
- Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a willingness to collaborate harmoniously with other staff members.
- Capacity to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of ten pounds to a height of at least ten feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of ten feet.
