Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions that align with global and regional business needs.
  • Evaluate current data center infrastructure and recommend technology-specific solutions for both proprietary and third-party systems.
  • Engage in the construction, deployment, and enhancement of systems that support business applications and infrastructure.
  • Establish and execute processes to ensure server high availability, while providing engineering and implementation of virtualization, cloud, and automation solutions to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline, or
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering in lieu of a Master's degree and 6 years of experience.

Applicants should possess demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • 6 years of experience (8 years with a Bachelor's) in supporting IT infrastructure and operations;
  • 6 years of experience (8 years with a Bachelor's) in DevOps Infrastructure and Virtualization;
  • Proficiency in Linux hardware and connectivity components, along with Linux or Unix Administration;
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools, such as Puppet or Chef;
  • Familiarity with running applications in Docker containers;
  • Knowledge of virtualization infrastructure, including VMWare vSphere;
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for automating infrastructure setup;
  • Understanding of open-source technologies and cloud services, including AWS and GCP;
  • Proficiency in SQL and MySQL;
  • Experience with shell scripting;
  • Knowledge of best practices in IT operations for maintaining an always-available service;
  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting web technologies and components;
  • Understanding of networking in both Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).

All experience may be gained concurrently.
