We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior Tax Executive with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). In this crucial leadership position, you will oversee all tax-related elements of M&A initiatives. Your main objective will be to deliver strategic tax insights, lead a team of professionals, and ensure adherence to both domestic and international tax laws.
This role is vital for enhancing tax opportunities and minimizing risks linked to mergers and acquisitions, while also fostering and nurturing robust client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Tax Planning: Formulate and execute tax strategies that align with corporate objectives to optimize tax efficiency throughout M&A processes.
- Expert Advisory: Provide expert advice on intricate domestic and international tax matters, encompassing compliance, planning, and risk management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Remain informed about modifications in tax legislation and regulations, evaluating their implications for the organization and its clientele.
- M&A Due Diligence: Spearhead and coordinate thorough due diligence activities for M&A transactions, pinpointing potential tax risks and opportunities.
- Deal Structuring: Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to devise deals in a tax-efficient manner.
- Post-Merger Integration: Offer strategic counsel on post-merger integration and restructuring to maximize tax advantages.
- Client Relations: Act as a trusted advisor, conducting client meetings and presentations, while cultivating and sustaining strong client connections.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Tax Compliance: Supervise the preparation and review of tax returns to guarantee accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage interactions with tax authorities, addressing inquiries, audits, and compliance-related issues.
- Risk Management: Monitor the organization's overall tax position, developing and implementing strategies for risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
- Experience: At least 12 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and M&A transactions, with extensive knowledge of domestic and international tax regulations.
- Leadership: Proven track record in business development within the tax sector, showcasing strong leadership and team management capabilities. Experience in building high-performing teams is essential.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker capable of analyzing complex issues and delivering innovative solutions.
