Job Title: UPS Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UPS Field Service Technician to join our team at Pkaza LLC. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our clients in the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning, maintaining, and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers' sites within your regional coverage area.
  • Performing commissioning-focused design reviews, preparing commissioning test procedures and reports, coordinating and overseeing on-site testing.
  • Discussing with technical support problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment.
  • Participating in the development of Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Consulting with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments.
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in the field, with the ability to troubleshoot down to component level on equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDU's, STS, etc.
  • Utilizing hand tools and test equipment to perform work.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills & customer relation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefully with good initiatives.
  • Must be able to perform repeated bending & lifting of up to 100lbs during certain procedures.
  • Must be able to provide necessary pro-active recommendations to clients.
  • Candidate must be willing to work nights & weekends when necessary / be on call when needed.
  • Knowledge of general computer hardware & software applications.
  • Previous 3rd Party UPS experience a plus.
  • UPS OEM factory training or experience working in the field with: Emerson / Liebert / Vertiv ; APC / MGE / Schneider, or Eaton / Powerware / PDI, a MUST.
  • Technical degree a (DeVry, Lincoln Tech ) a plus.
  • Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, SeaBees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.).
  • Clean driving record.
