Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Label Division Manager who will oversee the daily operations, production, and personnel management within our Label Division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in narrow web and flexo printing, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional leadership abilities. Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills are essential for success in this role.
Compensation
Salary Range: $72,000 - $85,000 annually
Key Objectives
- Optimize the efficiency of the Label Division, prioritizing customer satisfaction through effective supervision, organization, and training of all employees.
- Guide the team in addressing daily operational challenges and achieving both short-term and long-term performance targets.
- Manage daily operations while overseeing inventory and logistics to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assess and prepare workflows, staffing needs, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to align with company standards for productivity and quality.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and complying with relevant regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations, including production, quality assurance, purchasing, and related activities.
- Supervise production staff to ensure job scheduling and productivity standards are met.
- Coordinate production activities to achieve objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Develop and uphold organizational and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure product quality and consistency while improving efficiencies and minimizing waste and costs.
- Analyze weekly production reports, address production issues, and manage monthly inventory.
- Communicate and integrate corporate goals into daily operations.
- Provide leadership to build, motivate, train, and guide a high-performing team.
- Drive business growth and demonstrate commitment to the company's success.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in production management or operations within the label or flexible packaging sector.
- Experience in color management and matching.
- Proven track record in workflow management, systems management, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business judgment and superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused with a dedication to delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Proactive with a strong sense of urgency and a hands-on management approach.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.
