About the Role

Wellfleet Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, answering their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn the basics of insurance and understand our student health insurance products
  • Navigate our LuminX claim system and understand the customer service process
  • Meet and/or exceed productivity standards and provide accurate responses to customers
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to ensure calls are answered within queue standards and adhere to deadlines/turn-around times
  • Comprehend and interpret documents, such as training manuals, correspondence, and brochures
  • Ability to multitask and ensure that all voicemail messages are obtained, and calls are returned within 24 hours
  • Consistently maintain a positive and professional attitude and communicate issues, concerns, etc. to supervisor
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills and be patient, resilient, and stress-tolerant
  • A minimum of one year's work experience in customer service, preferably in a health insurance setting, medical billing office, coding with a healthcare provider, or related field
  • Customer-focused with a genuine interest in helping others
  • Cooperative and enjoy working with others as part of a team
  • Mature, responsible, and dependable with focus and attention to detail
  • Above-average computer proficiency skills with the ability to type
  • Stable work history
  • Excellent phone etiquette skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining integrity and quality of service
