Job Summary

Samaritan Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at Samaritan Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement care plans, provide direct patient care, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advance your nursing skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Current Washington State RN licensure.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of RN experience preferred.
  • Certifications: HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire – AHA or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty Nursing Departments: Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred.
  • Advanced Certifications: AAP NRP Advanced, STABLE course completion, OB ALS online course, and AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Mental Demands: Keen mental faculties to perform assessment and decision-making skills in the management of acutely ill patients.

  • Critical Thinking: Seeks resources for direction, performs independent problem-solving, and decision-making is logical and deliberate.
  • Accountability: Practices within legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Crisis Management: Demonstrates competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum.
