Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Medical Knowledge and Procedures: Develop and apply advanced medical knowledge to diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing procedures as needed.
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history, physical examination, and laboratory results, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Practice-Based Learning and Improvement: Stay current with evidence-based practices and guidelines, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care processes.
- Education and Experience: Graduate degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pediatric care.
- Licensure and Certification: Current APRN licensure in the State of Connecticut, or certification as a Physician Assistant, with a valid DEA registration and BLS/PALS certification.
