About the Role:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join the General Education Office. As the first point of contact, you will serve as the receptionist, curricular support specialist, office operations manager, and executive support for the Senior Associate Vice Provost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage complex budgets, monitor accounts, and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Coordinate annual program updates to the undergraduate catalog and program publications.
- Query databases, organize complex data, and prepare reports.
- Assist area coordinators and faculty committees with various tasks and projects.
- Manage website, social media, and other campus communications.
- Screen and answer calls, manage calendar, and schedule meetings.
- Prepare correspondence and assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- High level of professionalism and sound judgment in prioritizing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
- Proven ability to function independently and proactively in a collaborative, complex, and constantly changing environment.
- Excellent organizational, quantitative, written, and verbal skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite and willingness to train in PeopleSoft Student Administration system, eVA purchasing system, Chrome River, and Cascade.
