Job Summary

California Creative Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our System Administration team, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and providing support for Linux operating systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage system infrastructure, including databases, testing computer equipment, and other software and hardware.
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise.
  • Perform system monitoring and analysis to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware.
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting of servers, software, and hardware, and responding to anomalies.
  • Regularly upgrade system software and firmware as required.
  • Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a system administrator.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the Linux operating system.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Podman) and associated technologies.
  • Good knowledge of several scripting languages.
  • GitLab and puppet experience desirable.
  • General understanding of IP networks, switching, subnets, and VLANs.
  • General knowledge of hardware, including servers, network storage options, PDUs, KVMs, etc.
  • Ability to respond to support requests after hours.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with LDAP clients/servers.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
  • IA certification (either Security+ or CISSP).
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph, Full Scope Polygraph desirable.
