Job Title: Linux Administrator

Powder River Industries, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Linux Administrator to join our team. As a prime contractor, we provide technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). We are responsible for complete end-to-end system management for a customer's mission system, including data center, integrated logistics support, COOP, and disaster recovery.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Linux Administrator to manage our Linux operating environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, rebuilding, configuring, maintaining, administering, and documenting Unix/Linux systems, software, and hardware. They will also create and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain, and patch system environments and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Linux operating environment
  • Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer, and document Unix/Linux systems, software, and hardware
  • Create and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain, and patch system environments and software
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, or reported by users
  • Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins (IAVA/B) related to current operating environment and implement remediation plans
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for routine and non-routine procedures that assist in the management and operation of the Linux Enterprise operating environments
  • Perform any required re-accreditation actions such as DISA STIG review, OS upgrades, vulnerability scan remediation, and document various required lists (PPSM, H/W, and S/W) during the normal accreditation cycle
  • Recommend changes to the government for improvement in the operating and/or security environment
Requirements:
  • Technical Environment: Microsoft, Linux, Splunk, Ansible, Tenable, GEMS
  • Non-negotiable Requirements:
    • 1. Top Secret with investigation current within the last 5 years
    • 2. On-site, no remote
