Position Overview

Under guidance, the Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date clinical understanding of all cardiopulmonary apparatus utilized within the organization. This role involves responding to the requirements of patients by executing direct respiratory evaluations and therapeutic interventions at the bedside. Additionally, the therapist aids in the development and delivery of orientation programs for both Respiratory Care and Nursing personnel. The position encompasses all facets of emergency and critical respiratory care for patients, adhering to the cost-control protocols established by the Respiratory Care Services Manager.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Upon employment: National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Upon employment: National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Within 30 days of employment: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Within 90 days of employment: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in respiratory care services (student experience included)
  • Experience must encompass all dimensions of respiratory care services, from basic procedures to critical care, catering to clients from adolescence to geriatrics
