Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is mandatory for ER/ED, ICU/CCU, MS/TELE, and Respiratory Care Technicians.
  • BLS: Basic Life Support certification is required for all personnel including RN, CNA, Social Workers, and Technicians.
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is necessary for ER/ED, PACU, Pediatrics, and Respiratory Care.
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification is essential for NICU and RRT roles.
  • TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course certification is required for ER/ED personnel.
  • Tech Certification Verification: National verification is required for specific technician positions.
  • State License Verification: Alaska State License is mandatory.
  • Wound Care Specialty Certification: Required for those specializing in wound care.
  • Medication Test: Pharmacology competency exam is necessary for all specialties.

Job Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in Orthopedic, General, Neurological, and Trauma.
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, based on unit needs.
  • BLS Requirement: Yes
  • On-call Requirement: Yes, 7 days in a 12-week period.
  • Floating Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted; must reside outside a 100-mile radius.
  • Pending State License: Not accepted.
  • RTO Restrictions: Maximum of one week, with holiday scheduling expectations.
Schedule Information
  • Shift: Variable, typically 08:45-19:15 or 10:45-21:15 on Thursdays.
  • On-call Requirement: Yes, 7 days in a 12-week period.
