Key Responsibilities of the Restaurant Operations Manager:
Ability to work a 50+ hour work week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Engage frequently with the public, businesses, and community organizations to enhance the restaurant's public relations.

Communicate with suppliers regarding the delivery of quality products and maintenance of restaurant equipment.
Occasional interaction with corporate personnel regarding policies and procedures relevant to restaurant operations.

Maintain staffing levels through effective planning, ensuring the efficient operation of the restaurant in compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.

Oversee staff to ensure customers receive prompt and courteous service; products meet specified quality and quantity standards; equipment is properly maintained; sanitation standards are upheld; and the restaurant is kept clean and inviting.

Utilize company training resources to provide on-the-job training for crew members in all aspects of restaurant operations.

Implement and manage financial controls at the restaurant level (including cash handling, profit and loss statements, daily deposits, payroll, and budget management) to ensure accountability of company funds.

Ensure that supplies are ordered as needed, received in good condition, and accounted for properly.

Address and resolve customer complaints tactfully to maintain satisfaction.
Evaluate the performance of staff to ensure recognition of job performance.
Prepare forecasts of future sales and expenses to establish realistic profit objectives.

Exercise sound managerial judgment in all employee relations and personnel actions (including performance evaluations, grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and employee counseling) to foster cooperation, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

Complete, approve, submit, and maintain all required internal records and reports in accordance with legal and company policies.

Train and develop Assistant Managers and Manager Trainees in management skills and technical knowledge to facilitate their growth.

Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and customers.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
