Overview:

The Sewing Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the workflow within the Sewing department while providing support to the Sewing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and efficient workflow for sewing lines.
  • Guarantee the availability of materials for forthcoming production orders.
  • Implement Department Safety Protocols and report any hazardous practices.
  • Oversee the activities of the immediate team and train new staff members.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance team for equipment upkeep.
  • Assist in evaluating employee performance and suggest areas for enhancement.
  • Promote 5S initiatives and perform additional duties as required.
  • Maintain operational continuity in the absence of the sewing manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sewing Operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with sewing department processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Capability to operate a forklift and lead a team proficiently.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and good visual identification abilities.
  • Work in proximity to moving machinery and face various environmental conditions.
