Position Responsibilities
The Mortgage Banking Specialist is chiefly tasked with originating new mortgage loans, showcasing a diverse array of financing options. The required knowledge is typically acquired through a high school diploma and 2-3 years of relevant experience in mortgage loan origination.
In-depth understanding of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (FHA, VA, Conventional, FHLMC, FNMA, and private investors) Proficient knowledge of secondary marketing, insurance, and post-closing processes Familiarity with various state lending laws Strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication, sales acumen, and customer relationship management NMLS certification is mandatoryWork Environment & Requirements
