Patient Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at UMass Memorial Health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, ambulation, and meal preparation.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe environment, utilizing interventions to de-escalate patients and following restraint policies as directed.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to remain calm under stress and in emergency situations.
