Position Overview:

Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking a Senior IT Technical Support Specialist. In this role, you will be engaged with a governmental department, providing high-level technical assistance and maintaining a diverse range of internal technologies and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, diagnose, repair, and upgrade all IT hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Ensure optimal performance of various devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data network hardware/software configurations and connectivity issues, focusing on authentication and security systems.
  • Research, design, document, and modify system specifications throughout the production life cycle.
  • Manage servers to support enterprise solutions for the technical team.
  • Support vendor-supplied solutions through coordination with external representatives and training of end users.
  • Recommend and execute infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
  • Write and script code, configurations, and reports to enhance system functionality and performance.
  • Provide training to new or less experienced team members as necessary.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.

The ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive demeanor while delivering exceptional support is essential.

Independence in completing assignments within established guidelines and standard practices is required.

Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certification, Cyber Security Certification, and Network+ Certification.

Technical proficiency in at least two of the following areas is required: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Presentation systems, Microsoft Office Suite Support, Mobile Device Management, TV/Streaming Broadcasting, Active Directory management, Microsoft O365 Administration, Microsoft Operating Systems, Video wall systems, Anti-virus systems, Cybersecurity analysis, and more.

Work Schedule:

Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. Occasional Saturday work may be required for on-call service during emergencies.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range is $26 to $28, commensurate with experience.
