Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory of OR supplies, ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment, and overseeing the efficient and effective management of resources and personnel in the sterile processing department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels of OR supplies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Oversee the efficient and effective management of resources and personnel in the sterile processing department.
  • Supervise and mentor Sterile Supply Tech I and II staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sterile processing.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board For Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
  • Preferred qualifications include completion of a sterile processing course and/or a vocational/technical school diploma/degree in surgical technology, and more than 1 year of sterile processing experience.
