Residential Assisted Living Medication Technician

The Residential Assisted Living Med Tech plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, administering, and managing medications in accordance with physician orders. In addition, you will provide basic, direct care and assist in daily activities for residents in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication in the appropriate amounts at the appropriate times to the appropriate residents, as directed.
- Assist in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, serving meals, and assisting residents to eat.
- Take vital signs, reposition residents, provide and empty elimination equipment, and lift or assist residents into beds.
- Report observations of resident bruises, blood in urine, or other injuries/wounds.
- Clean and sanitize resident areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Ensure compliance with universal precautions infection control and transport residents and equipment in vehicles, wheelchairs, or walking.
- Identify and report malfunctioning equipment immediately and assist residents during admission and discharge, providing physical assistance and post-mortem care.
- Participate in resident plan of care and communicate information between physicians, residents, and healthcare staff as appropriate.
- Report and record all accidents/incidents immediately and ensure compliance with all regulations from DHEC, Fire and Safety, OSHA, Labor Laws, etc. and adhere to HIPAA confidentiality standards and Resident's Rights.
