Park Operations Manager Job Description

About the Role:

The Park Operations Manager is a key member of the KIDS EMPIRE team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the park. This includes supervising staff, implementing operational procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Attend to guests as quickly as possible, greet them accordingly, and make them feel comfortable in the ambiance of the park.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise employees to ensure they perform their job duties satisfactorily and achieve production goals.
  • Training and Development: Assist the Park Manager with training, developing, and auditing.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among park staff.
  • Scheduling and Approval: Audit schedules and request needed approval from the Park Manager.
  • Park Operations: Open and close the park using keys or a code.
  • Issue Reporting: Communicate any guest or employee issues to the Park Manager.
  • Check-in Process: Operate the check-in process by having guests sign the liability waiver, guest information, and utilize an iPad.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the front cash counter for receiving the exact bill amount from guests, managing cash flow, and providing exact change.
  • Billing Transactions: Operate billing transactions accurately by verifying the amount displayed on the POS.
  • Inventory Management: Organize the refrigerator with drinks, snacks, chips, and ice cream, and check snack inventory to order from specified vendors.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Walk the floor regularly to monitor for unsafe hazards and ensure guests follow park attendance rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean restrooms and sanitize all park structures, tables, chairs, and playground equipment.
  • Event Coordination: Schedule and coordinate family events and assist in operating events efficiently.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, walk, bend, and twist constantly.
  • Frequent bilateral hand movements.
  • Good finger dexterity.
  • Work in noisy environments created by guests, such as children yelling and music.
  • Tolerate a hectic and busy work environment during peak hours.
  • Work in a tight structure and be comfortable with heights.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • Work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work with children.
  • Operate an iPad.
  • Good communication skills, customer service skills, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritize guest satisfaction and continuously improve services.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Work independently.
  • Read and write in English.
