Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at RMH Franchise Corporation. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Restaurant Environment:
    • Ensure prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines.
    • Direct overall activities and performance of associates.
    • Ensure the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff; inform GM of all verbal and written complaints.
    • Ensure guest contact and satisfaction through 100% table visits.
    • Responsible for the Responsible Service of Alcohol through associate training, communication, and guest interaction.
    • Maintain adequate departmental inventory levels.
    • Ensure product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards.
    • Effectively schedule associates to meet sales demands.
    • Maintain effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards.
    • Correct unsafe practices or conditions.
    • Promote and manage restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
    • Perform routine maintenance and immediately inform GM of needed repairs.
    • Advise GM of any non-routine situation.
    • Communicate with other managers daily through management log and shift change meetings.
  • Manage Associate Performance:
    • Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential management candidates.
    • Promote Applebee's training procedures of new managers.
    • Help maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, associate meetings, and implementation of company policy.
    • Determine job assignments on a shift-by-shift basis.
    • Develop an environment of constant development of associates, including informal shift reviews and participates in the development of written evaluations every six months.
    • Assess the effectiveness of associates, provide candid, fair feedback on a regular basis, and continuously work with associates on their areas of development.
    • Conduct thorough Applebee's approved interviews and make hiring decisions related to hourly employees.
    • Determine rate of pay for hourly employees.
    • Ensure an immediate response to all employee complaints and take steps to address them; inform GM of all complaints and People Resources, when appropriate.
    • Demonstrate proper execution of training systems as outlined by the company while emphasizing the importance of training to associates.
    • Monitor acceptable associate performance and document situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action, including termination of employment. Monitor progressive discipline when appropriate.
    • Make recommendations regarding the promotion of hourly employees.
    • Assure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Maintain Controls:
    • Responsible for a designated department of the restaurant.
    • Responsible to control cost in assigned department.
    • Determine materials and inventory to be purchased for assigned department.
    • Maintain and control the assets of the company.
    • Assure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Report progress towards achieving restaurant performance objectives at management meetings.
    • Comply with all cash handling procedures.
    • Execute weekly food and liquor inventories/costs at the GM's request and is accountable for completion.
    • Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork to the GM.
  • Development:
    • Demonstrate organizational skills.
    • Complete all assignments and duties properly and on schedule.
    • Develop goals and action plans for personal/professional growth.
    • Serve as a role model for managers and associates.
    • Develop self on all store-related technology.
  • Behavioral Performance Expectations:
