About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide legal support and guidance to our agency and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on licensing and regulatory requirements for insurance agency business.
  • Manage and support all stages of litigation or disputes involving our agency operations.
  • Provide general product counseling for our agency and digital distribution teams.
  • Research and identify legal risks across the organization.
  • Serve as primary legal support to key cross-functional and business stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of comparable law firm or in-house experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and JD.
  • Current license to practice law (JD).
  • Strong proven background in contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Knowledge of RESPA, FCRA, and other laws for organizational compliance.
  • P&C Insurance background.
  • Excellent negotiation and communications skills.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
