Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Signicast. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing projects from design to production approval, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from design to production approval, including tooling, fixtures, gauging, production routings, schedules, dimensional approval, costs, and profitability.
  • Lead and facilitate all part number project activities in multiple facilities, including tool design, gauge design, and supplier selection.
  • Develop and implement APQP processes for assigned part projects.
  • Act as a mentor and resource to junior engineers and participate in the development of engineering interns.
  • Collaborate with the plant management team to drive process improvement projects and OKRs.
  • Investigate and resolve part number scrap/defect-related issues.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing procedures.
  • Lead operational review meetings with the executive team and represent the plant manager as needed.
  • Manage customer relationships and provide technical sales presentations and seminars.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field from a four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of foundry experience, with a preference for investment casting experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and MiniTab software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents, including blueprints and customer specifications.
