Job Summary:

The Salvation Army Northwest Division is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Food Pantry Program Coordinator. This position will provide operational support to the Department Head and take part in the service programs as directed, ensuring the needs of the department are served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support to the Department Head and take part in the service programs as directed
• Ensure safe operation and management of Food Pantry, including receiving, stocking, and displaying of all foods
• Manage appointments as scheduled for Hygiene Center laundry and showers
• Assist with any social service programs as directed
• Provide administrative support for related operations as needed

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Customer Service, general assistance in Social Services directed to at-risk populations
• Demonstrated Forklift experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass TSA Drivers training
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
• Excellent telephone skills
• Ability to work with volunteers and provide guidance as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, and file cabinet drawers and reach overhead
• Ability to operate telephone and desktop or laptop computer
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
