About the Position: We are seeking a skilled photographer to join our team in Longview, WA. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos to illustrate news and sports stories. You will work closely with reporters to brainstorm ideas and coordinate photo shoots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating photography equipment to take photographs for news and sports stories
  • Coordinating with reporters to come up with the best ways to illustrate stories
  • Operating filmography equipment to film videos for news and sports stories
  • Transferring photographs and videos to computers for editing and uploading them onto a content management system or other programs
  • Clearly describing photos and videos with clear, concise captions in AP style

Working Conditions: This is a union position with pay starting at $43,680 annually. Hours vary and will include weekend shifts. A full set of Canon equipment will be provided, as well as a laptop with software including Photo Mechanic and Adobe Creative Suite.
