About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at St. Luke's Health System in Ontario, Oregon. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine tests in clinical laboratories, handling complex issues, and working collaboratively with other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Specimens: Accurately collect, label, and store specimens, following laboratory procedures and policies.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to junior members of the team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Inventories and Supplies: Maintain accurate records of supplies and inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing waste.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, or medical technology).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Certification: Possession of one of the following certifications is required: ASCP_BB, ASCP_C, CYGT, ASCP_H, ASCP_M, ASCP_MB, ASCP_MLS, or ASCP_MT.
